As our bodies are increasingly bogged down with environmental toxins that are unavoidable, clean beauty is becoming more important than ever. However, finding non-toxic skincare products that actually work can feel like a treasure hunt. Whether you’re switching to a completely clean routine or just looking to cut out some of the most offensive ingredients, it’s tough to find products that work with your skin’s natural biome while effectively targeting skincare issues. I’ve put together a list of products I love that deliver nourishment without compromise; they’re my current must-haves for a non-toxic skincare. These thoughtful formulations are packed with plant-powered ingredients to bring you fresh, glowing skin.
Loulei Botanicals Revival Face Oil
This luxurious, small-batch facial oil is a true skin saver. Infused with nutrient-rich botanicals like carrot seed oil, this facial oil restores balance and glow without feeling heavy or greasy on my oily skin. I love using this under my makeup in the morning for a little extra protection and hydration, and it leaves my skin soft, smooth, and plump for makeup application.
Why I love it:
- Handcrafted with organic ingredients
- Perfect for sensitive, mature skin
- No artificial fragrance

UpCircle Eye Cream with Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid
Tired eyes? This gentle brightening cream is like a warm cup of coffee for your skin. It uses repurposed coffee grounds and deeply hydrating hyaluronic acid to depuff and smooth delicate under eyes. It plays nicely under makeup, absorbs quickly, and a little goes a long way. It’s a morning staple in my routine.
Plus, UpCircle is serious about sustainability. Their packaging is recyclable and they use upcycled ingredients when they can. It’s not only clean, it’s eco-friendly, and I’m here for it. You can order them online or find them at a local Sprouts.
What makes it a fave:
- Reduces puffiness and fine lines
- Vegan and cruelty-free
- Sustainable packing
Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair Cream
One of the most basic hacks I learned for skin care years ago was to moisturize every day. I’d spent too many years staying away from cream moisturizers because I had oily skin. What I didn’t know was that my skin needed hydration to stay balanced. I found one I loved and when it was discontinued, I was desperate to find something similar. Enter Biossance. I love that this brand is so accessible – you can find them at Sephora or on Amazon. It’s EWG certified and it’s gentle on my sensitive skin.
This rich, buttery cream melts right into my skin. No greasy residue, just intense moisture and softness. It has plant-derived squalane, ceramides, and omega fatty acids, which work together to repair the skin barrier, lock in moisture, and smooth out texture. I wear it at night as the last step in my skin care regimen.
Why it’s my go-to:
- Ultra-hydrating without feeling heavy
- Repairs and strengthens the skin barrier
- Packed with skin-loving omegas
Earth Harbor Anchor Bio-Retinol Night Serum
If you’re curious about retinol but worried about the irritation, this is a good place to start. This was my first ever retinol-like product, as I’d stayed away from retinol fearing its reputation for irritating sensitive skin. Anchor is a plant-based alternative that uses sea botanicals and natural retinol-like extracts to smooth and firm the skin without the sensitivity.
This serum feels light, and it works over time to improve skin tone, texture, and elasticity. I’ve only been using it a short while, but I’ve already noticed a difference in the texture of my skin. It’s best to start slowly and build up and always follow it with a moisturizer or facial oil.
I love that these skincare products are packaged in glass bottles, and the company recently lowered prices on their products just because they can. You can find them at Ulta in store or online, or on Amazon.
Standout Features:
- Bio-retinol that is safe for sensitive skin
- Rich in seaweed and antioxidant oils
- Clean and sustainably made
Freedom Creators Co Oatmeal Coffee Shea Butter Soap
Bar soap is back – and not the kind that dries out your skin or smells like fake perfume. Package-free skincare is having a moment, and I’m here for it. This bar soap was sent to me in a subscription box, and I’m so glad it was. By the time I’d received it, I’d tried two others from local markets that I did not like. But this one from Freedom Creators Co was just what I needed. It cleans while leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth. Plus, it smells delicious.
Freedom Creators Co is a mission focused company that feeds economies in underserved areas by sourcing from them, and they partner with InJoy to provide for the needs of children around the world. They also donate 5% of their revenue to support orphans. If that isn’t reason enough to support this company, then know that the products are also sustainably packed with clean ingredients that nourish and balance the skin.
What makes this soap special:
- It’s gentle enough for daily use
- Naturally scented
- Zero-waste packaging
HoneyBerry Naturals Tallow Lip Balm
This little tube of tallow goodness came from a natural grocer near me. When I first picked it up, I’d hoped it would save my lips from their overdependence on Carmex. Little did I know, it would take a lot more effort than just swiping on a different balm now and then. However, this tallow balm has been a key player in my recovery from Carmex overuse. With the help of nourishing ingredients like castor oil, emu oil, beeswax, and tallow, I’ve finally been able to kick a decades-long habit of Carmex dependence.
What makes it great:
- Tallow that nourishes the skin and protects the skin barrier
- Won’t dry out your lips to make you apply it over and over
Loulei Botanicals Wild Bleu Quenching Body Oil
I’ve been dealing with dry skin over the last few years, to the point where I was slathering on multiple items after my shower just to keep from getting itchy during the day. This body oil spray is now the only moisturizer I use post-shower most days. With ingredients like aloe vera, apricot kernel oil and rainforest buriti, this quenching body oil repairs damage, combats dryness and strengthens barrier function.
Why I love it:
- Rich in barrier repairing omegas
- Naturally energizing scent
- Soothing aloe for sensitive skin
Conclusion
Non-toxic skincare doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. It just has to be intentional. These products have earned a place in my routine because they’re clean, effective, and created by brands that actually care about what goes into your skin and the planet. If you’re thinking about making the switch to clean beauty, I recommend starting with one or two of these essentials. You might be surprised how much better your skin — and your routine — can feel.
