Ingredients

8 cups chicken bone broth or meat stock

Instructions

  1. Warm oil in a large stock pot over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and a little of the salt, pepper, and ground sage; cook until brown.
  2. Add sweet potato, onion, and garlic and mix together while cooking. Add water and cover to let the vegetables steam for a few minutes until they begin to soften.

  3. Add basil, thyme, broth, kale, more salt and pepper, sage and bring to a boil. Once boiling, lower temperature to low-medium and allow to simmer for 30 minutes.

  4. Turn off heat. Add canned beans and lemon juice and stir to mix.
